Use Peanut Clippers

Use Peanut Clippers

Wahl Peanut clippers are a line of hair clippers shaped like a peanut. Packaged with four different cutting guides, these high-powered hair clippers are smaller than most clippers, which makes them easier to store in your bathroom or a salon. Peanut clippers are good for cutting kids' hair, since the blade is dull to the touch, but also work well for adults, as they are sharp enough to cut even the frizziest of hair.

Instructions

1. Plug the Peanut clippers into the nearest electrical outlet or, if your model is cordless, make sure the batteries are fully charged. If you want to clip your hair, it's usually best to have a friend take control of the clippers. If you want to shave, you can do that by yourself.

2. Attach the desired cutting guide to the back of the clippers; the guides range from 1/8 inch to 1/2 inch. With the clippers turned off, test the way the cut will look by pretending to cut your hair. Look in a mirror to determine the length you want to cut.

3. Turn on the clippers and start cutting. Go with the grain of your hair and take long cuts. When you come to the edge of your hair, lift the clippers and start on the section right next to the part you just cut. Once all of your hair is cut, turn off the clippers.

4. If you just want to shave your face, take off the cutting guide. Cut in a downward motion. After shaving your facial hair, edge out your sideburns, mustache or goatee if needed. When finished, turn off the clippers and apply aftershave if your skin is irritated by the razor.

5. Clean your Peanut clippers by brushing them down with the brush that comes with the clippers. Put a spot of oil on the blade and let it set for five minutes, then wipe off with a dry towel. This ensures your clipper blade will be sharp when you use it again.
