Cut & Layered Hair Styles For Teenage Girls

The teen years are a fun time to experiment with cool haircuts, colors and styles. Get a funky haircut that works well with your busy school or sports schedule while looking great during math class or a school dance. Add wild colors to your do, or wear it long and flowing. Have fun with your hair and be adventuresome.

Emo Rocker Cut

Go for one of the most popular haircuts with the skater and indie music crowd. Have your medium-to-long hair cut with razor-sharp edges and a splash of color to give it that rocker look.

Add lots of medium-to-long layers throughout your hair and use a razor-cutting technique to give your ends a jagged look. Angle long bangs and add wild highlights such as pink or other bright colors to contract deep lowlights.

Style your hair using a dime-size amount of hair gel. Allow hair to air dry, or blow it dry while brushing your hair straight. Heat up your flat iron and straighten your hair so it becomes pin straight. Lightly rat the crown of your head to add body and volume. Brush your hair around the crown down so it blends with the rest of your cut. Rub a dime-size amount of pomade to your ends.

Long, Layered and Lovely

Show off your beautiful locks with a long, layered haircut that you can accentuate with curls. Many teen girls are sporting this style.

Cut long layers into your hair and leave your bangs long and layered. Your bangs should be no longer than cheekbone length, but no shorter than the middle of your nose.

Add hair gel to wet hair, and blow hair dry using a round brush. Roll your bangs in your round brush, and smooth and straighten with your dyer. Heat a large barrel curling iron and put large, long curls along the bottom of your do. Separate your curls with your fingers, and flip your head upside down and spray lightly underneath.

Short Layered Pixie Cuts

Try a cool, smart pixie cut if you prefer to wear your hair short. This cut allows you to wear your hair 2 1/2 to 4 inches long around your head, and is easy for that style-and-go look.

Leave your bangs long, or cut them short to make this cut your own style. Add fun highlights for a playful look. Styling this cut is a snap. Rub a dime-size amount of pomade between your palms and rub in your hair. Comb your hair forward using your fingers, and brush your bangs off to the side for a windswept look.
