Kids' Hair Styles For Birthday Parties

Hair styles for children may vary on a daily basis. They probably have their own favorite look that they want you to create for every outing and special occasion. However, if they are going to a birthday party, a different style may be in order.

Active Parties

If your child will be going to a party at a gym, playground or activity center, put her hair up in a ponytail if it is long or clip short hair back from her face with a few soft barrettes. This way, she will be able to romp and play without having to shove her hair away from her face every few minutes. It may not be her favorite style, but she will surely appreciate not having a hair distraction.

Themed Parties

Some children's parties are themed and request each guest to come dressed as their favorite cartoon character or dress like a medieval princess or prince. If your son is invited to a party like this, do not forget that his hair is also part of the costume.

If his favorite character has slicked back hair and dark eyebrows, imitate it by using hair gel and a black eyebrow pencil. Slick his hair back and lengthen and darken his brown eyebrows. If he is to transform into a prince, give his locks a wavy look, like he just jumped off a galloping horse.

Like a little princess, a girl's hair may need to be long and flowing.

Come Unkempt

For an enjoyable party activity, request for all of your birthday party guests to come with bed heads. It may raise eyebrows, but once they get there, they will be greeted with a special treat: a hair stylist party. Each girl will then get to browse through up-dos and have their hair washed and styled to their choosing. Everyone will leave feeling like a rock star with a fabulous hairdo. Be sure to take before, during and after pictures of the girls.
