If you plan to have people over to watch the Emmy Awards, why not go all out and throw an Emmy party? You can buy Hollywood themed items as well as serve awards show party food while hosting your Emmy get together. You should start planning your party at least a couple of weeks before the show airs.
Instructions
1. Send out Hollywood themed invitations found at party suppliers; they look similar to the envelope opened to announce the winners at the Emmy Awards.
2. Put out a red carpet leading to your front door. Buy a large piece of red fabric and adhere it to the sidewalk in front of your house.

5. Enlist the kids as paparazzi. Keep the kids occupied at the Emmy party by letting them take pictures of the guests.
6. Provide enough seats in front of the television. You want to make sure that everyone has a seat during the show.
7. Give out plastic award trophies as party favors. You can have them personalized at online stores like the Hollywood Mega Store.
