Work a smoothing cream through layered, wavy hair. Start with a deep part to add a sophisticated vibe to this hairstyle. Part hair slight above the ears, and gather at the back of the head. Slightly twist hair and push upwards, securing with a barrette or bobby pins. This creates volume at the crown, and makes a great hairstyle for a dance or formal event.
