Adjust An Andis Styliner 2

The Andis Styliner 2 can be used to trim or remove beards and facial hair.

The Andis Styliner 2 (SL II) is a professional electric hair and beard trimmer for men. It is available from professional beauty and barber supply houses, and it is used by barbers and stylists to shape the hair at the back of the neck for a professional finish. It can also be used for dry shaving and for trimming beards and mustaches. This trimmer usually requires no maintenance or adjustment other than regular oiling of the blades. It does have a simple power regulator to adjust the motor to compensate for variations in your local electric current.

Instructions

1. Position the trimmer so that it rests on the edge behind its blades while you hold it with one hand. Oil the cutter blades by putting a few drops of Andis trimmer oil on the front and sides of the cutter blades and then wiping excess oil off with a soft cloth.

2. Turn your trimmer on.

3. Insert your screwdriver in the slot of the power screw located at the bottom of the housing on the opposite side of the power switch (it is on the right side if you have it positioned as necessary for oiling.)

4. Turn the power screw counter-clockwise with the screwdriver until the trimmer makes a continuous clattering sound.

5. Turn the screw clockwise gradually and gently until the clattering stops and the blades operate smoothly.

6. Turn off the trimmer or begin using it as you wish; it is now set at the optimum power level for your particular electrical outlet and current.
