Make A Fairy Hair Bow Holder

Craft a take-home favor for a fairy birthday party.

Create a useful fairy craft. Young party guests can make a hair bow holder with wings at a fairy-themed party. This is a great activity for quieting down slumber party guests. Let the girls choose whether they want their hair bow holder to have a woodland fairy or a sparkle fairy look. These bow holders have dangling ribbons to clip hair bows onto, and a bar for hair ribbons without clips. They can hang in a closet or on a hook on the wall.

Instructions

Woodland Fairy Hair Bow Holder

1. Cut four 18-inch lengths of ribbon. On each ribbon, cut one end straight and the other at a 45-degree angle.

2. Fold the straight end of a ribbon over the bar at the bottom of a plastic hanger, so that it hangs down 1 inch in the back. Pin this end of the ribbon to the ribbon in front with a safety pin. Attach the other three ribbons in the same way.

3. Wrap a strand of silk ivy around the hanger and hold it in place with 2-inch pieces of green pipe cleaner.

4. Add small craft butterflies to the hanger by wrapping the wire on the butterfly around the hanger.

Sparkle Fairy Hair Bow Holder

5. Attach ribbons to the hanger as described in the previous section.

6. Wrap several sparkly pipe cleaners around the hanger.

7. Attach craft fairy wings to the hanger by wrapping the wire on the wings around the hanger.
