Make Bracelets With Cardboard

Recycle cardboard tubes such as toilet paper tubes by making customized bracelets.

Bracelets are a great jewelry piece to add to outfits to create a sense of style and fashion. There are various types of bracelets, including thin chain bracelets and bangles. Although bangles were popular during the disco era, many women still wear bangles with various outfits. You can create your own bangle-like bracelet from cardboard, which allows you to add a personal touch to your bracelet. This personalized item is a great gift for a friend or loved family member, as well as a recreational activity to perform with your children.

Instructions

1. Cut the cardboard tube into rings that are approximately 1.5 inches wide. Make a slit that cuts each cardboard ring open. This allows you to slip the bracelet over your wrist.

2. Use scissors to cut a strip of felt in the desired color also 1.5 inches in width. Ensure the strip is long enough to cover the entire cardboard ring.

3. Cover the cardboard ring with the felt piece. Apply a small amount of craft glue to the felt to secure the felt to the cardboard.

4. Trim the felt with scissors in areas that overlap or that are too large for the cardboard ring.

5. Decorate the cardboard bracelet with craft jewels, sequins and beads as desired. Attach the decorations to the bracelet with a generous amount of craft glue.

6. Allow enough time for the glue to dry before wearing the bracelet. Read the label on the craft glue to determine drying time.
