Do Pageant Hair

The hairstyle you choose to flaunt in a pageant can often be the factor to determine if you snag a crown. The styles are soft and glamorous and use a variety of hair products and accessories. For a traditional pageant look, try the classic curls. It is best to master whatever hairstyle you choose prior to the pageant so that there will be no problems when show time finally arrives.

Instructions

Do Pageant Hair

1. Apply shine serum to damp hair, making sure to evenly distribute the product all through the hair. Blow-dry hair until it is almost but not completely dry. Run a bristled brush through your slightly damp hair to remove all tangles.

2. Part your hair to your liking using a wide-toothed comb. Carefully grab a 2-inch section of hair and wrap it around a large curler, setting with a bobby pin if necessary. Repeat until your entire head of hair is in curlers. Mist all curlers with extra hold hairspray. Wait twenty to thirty minutes to allow hair to finish drying.

3. Remove all the bobby pins and curlers after hair has dried completely, misting each tendril with more hairspray as you take them down. When all the curlers have been removed, gently use your fingers (not a brush) to fix any uneven curls or flyaways. Hang your head upside down, and use hairspray once again on the tendrils. Flip hair upright, make any final adjustments with your fingers or wide-toothed comb, and set with some glitter-infused hairspray.
