Homemade Saltwater Hair

The "beach" look is a popular way to wear your hair. The look means your hair is slightly curly or wavy like you just got home from the beach. If you don't live by a beach or it's too cold to go to the beach, you can get this look right at home.
Get the Beachy Look
Saltwater is the main ingredient in the "beachy" look. Saltwater, wind and sun made your hair look chic and naturally wavy. You can get that look right at home without the beach. Fill an empty spray bottle with water (about 8 oz). Add two, very large, tablespoonfuls of sea salt to the water. Shake the bottle to dissolve the salt into the water. If you need some added texture, mix a teaspoon of hair gel into the saltwater and shake the bottle well. Take a shower to wet your hair, but do not use shampoo. When you get out of the shower, towel dry your hair. Spritz the saltwater to hair. Apply it liberally to your head, combing your hair through with your fingers. Scrunch up your hair with your fingers to a super wavy look and allow your hair to air dry. The saltwater both nourishes and texturizes your hair for that off-the-beach look.
