Hide the thinning hair

Side Part

Parting your hair on the side can help hide thinning hair. The side part not only shapes your face, but can flow whichever way best hides the thinning. Part your hair on the side that has the least balding so your thickest hair can flow over to the side with the thinnest hair.

Layers

Layers help to create a thicker look. Start the layers closer to the top of your head to make the hair near the scalp look healthy and plentiful.

Mohawk

This hairstyle is made for people with short or thinning hair. Take the excess hair on the sides and use hair gel to bring it all to the middle of your head. Keep applying gel until most of the hair from the side is pulled up into a straight line that points upwards on top of the head. This hairstyle is a more modern way to hide balding.

Bristle Brush and Blow Dry

When you blow dry your hair, turn your hair upside down. This will give it more body and lift the hair near the roots, creating a fuller look near the scalp. Use a bristle brush with many fine bristles. This style brush will also make your hair fuller and more shapely while hiding thinning spots. Don't comb your hair backwards when it is wet, which can make it weaker and cause it to break more easily.

Products and Poof

Use hair gel or hairpray to style your hair where there is thinning. Products will help to mold the existing hair over the thinning areas. Style your hair in a poof on top of your head. This will not only be stylish, but will hide whatever is going on underneath. Use bobby pins to pin the poof in place. Wearing your hair up or down is optional after the poof is set.
