Use Vegetable Glycerin To Define Natural Black Curls

Mix up your own glycerin-based curl enhancer.

For those with naturally curly hair, humid days can leave you feeling a bit frizzy and out of control. And while there are hair products that promise to keep your curls shiny and in place, not all of them will work on naturally curly black hair. One of the best ingredients on the market as of 2010 is vegetable glycerin. It is an all-natural humectant, meaning it attracts water. This will aid your hair in maintaining moisture and keeping it from turning into a big ball of fuzz as it dries after shampooing.

Instructions

1. Measure 3/4 cup of water into the empty spray bottle.

2. Add 3/4 cup of vegetable glycerin to the water in the spray bottle.

3. Add four drops of essential oil, about 1/2 tsp, to the mixture in the bottle.

4. Secure the top on the spray bottle and shake vigorously to ensure that the ingredients are thoroughly mixed.

5. Spray generously on freshly washed curls to enhance and define.
