Instructions For The Casio Wave

The Casio Wave Ceptor is a line of wristwatches. The Wave Ceptor is a unique watch line that uses a time reception antenna to receive a radio signal to set the watch, meaning your watch is always set to the right time. There are several modes of Wave Ceptor watches with different features, but the common functions are the same across all of the models.

Power Supply

Wave Ceptor watches are powered by a built-in battery that stores electricity generated by a solar cell on the face of the watch. When the watch is run in a dark location for a long period of time, the battery starts to run down, and some of the Wave Ceptor's functions are eliminated to conserve power. If the battery is fully drained, all of the functions on the watch will need to be reset.

To keep the battery fully charged, make sure you position the watch so that the face is receiving an abundance of bright light when you are not wearing it. If you are wearing the watch, try to keep it on the outside of your sleeve so that it receives as much light as possible.

Automatic Time Setting

Casio Wave Ceptor watches have an automatic time setting feature that is controlled by a radio transmission. Once the transmission is received, the Wave Ceptor will adjust itself as needed. In order for the correct time to be set, you need to set your time zone. To set your time zone, press and hold the upper left button until the seconds hand on the stopwatch points at the currently selected time zone. Press the lower right button repeatedly until your time zone is selected. Once set, press the upper left button to save the setting.

Manual Time Setting

If, for some reason, the watch is unable to pick up the radio transmission for automatic time setting, the Wave Ceptor allows you to set the watch manually. To set the watch manually, press and hold the upper left button until the seconds hand on the stopwatch stops at your chosen time zone. Push the lower left button to gain control of the watch hands. You control the hands of the watch using the upper and lower right buttons. To move the hands forward, press the lower right button. To move the hands backwards, press the upper right button. Once the correct time is set, press the upper left button to save your settings and exit manual time set mode.
