Make A Bow Holder With Canvas

Keep hair clips and bows displayed neatly and ready to wear

Keep hair clips and bows organized on a pretty bow holder made out of canvas. Decorative hair bows dress up ponytails and other hairstyles. Made from brightly colored ribbons, bows can cheerfully decorate a child's room when hung on the wall next to a vanity or anywhere that welcomes a splash of color. Save time by keeping hair accessories on display, simplifying the process of choosing the right bow for an outfit.

Instructions

1. Cut a piece of canvas that measures 2 inches by 25 inches. Place it vertically on your work surface.

2. Make a 1-inch fold at the top of the strip of canvas. Lay a 12-inch strip of ribbon perpendicular to the canvas and slide it between the layers of the fold. Center the length of ribbon so that 5 inches should stick out to the right and left of the canvas on either side, forming a "T" shape.

3. Stitch a seam across the edge of the canvas fold to create a tube, or pocket, around the ribbon.

4. Tie the ends of the ribbon in a bow to create a hanger.

5. Decorate the bow holder with buttons and embellishments to match the decor of the room. Leave large areas of blank space for clipping bows to the bow holder.
