Trim Short Hair

A quick trim can save you a trip to the beauty salon. This will save you money and allow you to stretch out your visits. When cutting your hair, or someone else's, it is important to be accurate as you cut or you may end up going to a stylist anyway.

Instructions

1. Wet the hair and comb it out carefully. Start sectioning off the hair. Begin cutting in the front and move toward the back when you trim short hair.

2. Measure the distance from the scalp that you want your hair to be. If you use your comb to measure the length you can easily gauge the length as you cut.

3. Take your first section of hair and trim it to the desired length. You want the length of the hair to be the same throughout the cut.

4. Continue trimming hair in that section, checking the length against the first piece you cut.

5. Move to the next section and begin trimming the hair similarly. Then move to the next section. It is important to compare your length to the original measurement on the comb.

6. Compare the length of hair according to the eyebrows, ears, and chin. This will help the cut to look even. The style should match the face.

7. Look over the hair and trim loose hairs that you have missed. Style the hair.
