Take Apart Oster 76 Clippers

You'll need a screwdriver to take apart Oster 76 Clippers.

Oster 76 Clippers are often used by professional hair stylists and barbers. These clippers and most other models need to be cleaned or maintained regularly---which requires knowing take the basic parts off or apart. The process will require a basic screwdriver.

Instructions

1. Hold the clippers so that the word "Oster" is facing you. You will be looking at the underside of the clipper, according to Peasridge Clipper Advice.

2. Press the blade release lever up toward the blade and hold. The blade release lever will be black and will be located right before the blade.

3. Pivot the blade up and back until it clicks, while still holding the blade release lever. This should allow you to slide the blade off.

4. Use a screwdriver to turn the screws in a counter clockwise motion to remove the main blade. Removing the main blade will allow you to clean the clippers or to replace the blade.
