Do A French Twist

Give your hair a new look and try putting it in a French twist. If you have medium to long hair, this hairdo goes with every occasion. With a French twist, you can dress it up for a special event or leave it plain for everyday wear. This is a classic look that takes little to no time to create.

Instructions

1. Brush hair so that it is free from knots. You can make it wavy or even take a straightening iron to the ends of your hair (depends on how you want the showing hair to look at the end). As long as you have a clean head of hair, the look does not matter very much.

2. Part the hair how you want the front to look. Bring your hair back to a low ponytail. Hold the hair at the bottom of your head with your hand.

3. Twist hair up, starting from the bottom (use both hands for leverage). Keep the twist close to your head. Once you have it twisted, keep it tight. If the twist is not lying very flat, take your hand over the twist, pushing the hair over into the crease of the twist.

4. Take bobby pins, one at a time, and secure the twist (while you are still holding your hair, use the opposite hand). Use as many pins as necessary. Open the bobby pin and start placing them in the bottom of the twist. Put it in, direct away from twist, then touch your head with the pin and tuck it up under the twist. Work your pins up the side of the twist until it feels like it will stay on it’s own.

5. Fix the top of hair sticking out with a curling iron for a formal look or leave it stuck out for an everyday look.
