Spice Up A Plastic Tablecloth

Spice up a basic tablecloth with vinyl decals.

Spice up a simple plastic tablecloth with stylish vinyl decals. Vinyl decals are available in a wide selection of styles and designs to suit your interior decorating needs. They are typically placed on walls to create a contemporary design, but you can also use them to add a special touch to a drab plastic tablecloth. For example, you can select a damask print for a modern take on a traditional print or choose something else, such as an animal print, for a child's tablecloth. The possibilities are limited only by your creativity.

Instructions

1. Place the vinyl decals on a work surface with the clear side facing up. Apply even pressure entirely across each decal with the plastic decal applicator. This process will ensure that the clear transfer tape adheres to the decal parts.

2. Spread out the tablecloth on a work surface. Lay out the decals in an aesthetically pleasing configuration on the tablecloth.

3. Remove the decal backing from each decal one at a time. Place the side that you removed the backing from down against the tablecloth in the desired place. Run the applicator across the surface of the clear transfer tape of the decal to smooth out any bubbles or wrinkles and to make sure that the decal parts adhere to the tablecloth.

4. Slowly peel the clear transfer tape from each decal, making sure that the vinyl decal parts remain attached to the tablecloth and don't lift up with the transfer tape.
