Many cheerleaders wear their hair styled up.
Cheerleading is an athletic sport that requires a lot of jumping, flipping and general movement. While cheerleaders wear uniforms to accomplish a certain look, they must also make sure their wardrobe and hair doesn't interfere with doing cheerleading moves. This means wearing their hair in a way that keeps it off their face, yet is still stylish. There are various ways for cheerleaders to style their hair to meet these requirements.
Instructions
1. Wear a ponytail. Pull your hair back and secure it with a band. Tie a ribbon that matches your cheerleading uniform around the hair band or add other hair accessories such as clips or scrunchies to further decorate your ponytail.
2. Style your hair in two pigtails. Part your hair evenly into two sections. Pull each section of hair into a hair band. Your pigtails may be high or low. For added style, part your hair in a pattern. Accent your hairstyle with accessories such as ribbons and clips.
3. Pull your hair into a bun. Style your hair into a ponytail and wrap your excess hair around the elastic band. Secure your hair with hair pins. Test your bun by jumping up and down to ensure that it stays secure.
4. Leave a section of your hair down. Style the rest of your hair into a secure style such as a ponytail, but leave a few strands out to make your hair look more stylish. Ensure that you leave only a small section down. The hair should not block your vision or cover your face.
