Fold Socks Military Style

The military has its own way of folding socks

The military imposes many different training methods on its cadets. The idea is to make the cadet more skilled on many levels. Along with training, cadets are expected to live and behave in an organized way, right down to how they fold their clothes. Even folding socks has its own set of instructions that have to be followed to meet military standards.

Instructions

1. Lay one sock on top of the other so that the toes are touching and the stencils are facing down. The tops of the socks should be facing away from you and the toes should be facing toward the left.

2. Fold the heels of the socks from the right of the sock to the left. The heels should be even with the left edge of the socks.

3. Fold the toes up and over the heels so that the toes are overlapping the heels. Turn the opening of the bottom sock and fold it over the top sock. Make sure the edges are even and roll up the bottom sock.

4. Roll the sock up tightly toward the top so that the roll is even with the tip of the toe. Fold back the remaining, unrolled part of the sock so that it encases the sock roll and holds it together.

5. Fold down the opening of the sock roll so that it reveals the stitching.
