Wear Head Bands

Wear Head Bands

A headband is a cute and simple way to add to a polished look. With so many headbands on the market, it's easy to wear them at any age, no matter what your budget is. Remember to keep your venue in mind when choosing the right headband.

Instructions

Wear Head Bands

1. No matter how demure a head band is, you have to start with smooth hair that is easy to manage. Frizzy, unkempt hair doesn't work with a headband. This doesn't mean you have to have straight hair, just be sure it is sleek and shiny. Use a styling cream to get rid of any flyaways. Distribute about a dime-size worth of product throughout your hair. Using a comb, or your fingers, smooth hair out for a clean and fabulous look.

2. Choosing the right head band for the occasion is key. Neutral colors like black and brown work well for the office, as well as tortoise prints. For the weekend, you can choose a fun print or bold colors such as canary yellow or magenta, which adds a serious punch of style to even a simple outfit. Evening calls for drama, so experiment with texture, colors and shine.

3. Wear a head band to the office. When wearing a head band to work, remember to keep things simple and chic. You could wear a tortoise or leopard print headband with your standard suit or sheath dress. This adds a dash of personal style, but stays well within an office dress code. If you are truly having a bad hair day, save yourself with a headband and hair elastic. Pull hair back into a low ponytail or low, tight bun and create a polished look in a minute.

4. Wearing a head band on the weekend is a fun and inexpensive way to play with your look. Opt for a headband in fashion-forward colors to add a whimsical touch to your weekend wardrobe. A simple tank and skinny jeans are elevated with the help of a funky headband. If your hair is curly or wavy, run a smoothing cream through it and then let your curls shine or pile hair up into a high ponytail. Straight hair looks great worn down with a headband, or braided.

5. Wear a head band in the evening. Need a new way to amp up your favorite little black dress? Try a headband. Headbands for evening should have some texture, so look for those adorned with feathers, flowers, or sparkle. Try parting your hair on the side and then putting on your headband for a look that is sexy and playful. Smoky eye makeup, a little black dress, and sassy heels are all you'll need to make a headband work for evening.
