Shave A Head Bald

Don't be intimidated by shaving your head for the first time.

Many men choose to shave their heads, either to deal with a balding hairline or simply for the aesthetic appeal. The task of shaving your head for the first time might seem daunting, but it is manageable. The important thing is to take your time in order to prevent razor cuts. With the proper care, you will have a smooth head in no time.

Instructions

1. Trim your hair down to stubble with hair clippers. The shorter the remaining hair, the easier your head will be to shave.

2. Take a hot shower to soften the hair.

3. Apply shaving oil, cream or gel to your head. Work it into a lather and massage it in.

4. Begin shaving your head, beginning with the sides and forehead. Use a brand new razor and shave in the direction of the hair growth. Rinse the blade frequently to reduce the chance of being cut.

5. Move to the back of your head, starting at the neck and working your way up. Use a mirror to help you, and continue to shave in the direction of the hair growth.

6. Shave the coarse hair at the crown of your head last to give the lather time to soak in thoroughly.

7. Re-lather your head and shave it again, this time going against the direction of hair growth for the closest possible shave.

8. Rinse excess lather from your head and apply astringent and lotion to your skin. This will minimize irritation.
