Check A Man'S Haircut For Unevenness

Check a Man's Haircut for Unevenness

Although cutting a man's hair in a short style is relatively easy, your job doesn't end once you put away the clippers. Before the haircut is complete, you must check his hair for unevenness. If you do find uneven sections, you need to fix his hair before sending him off.

Instructions

1. Brush away the hair on the back of his neck. You want to first clean the area in order to get a better view.

2. Go over the hair using your finger as your guide. Look for any spots that do not match up with the rest of the hair.

3. Cut away the excess hair. When you do find an uneven section, use a razor or scissors to cut and make it even with the other sections. Snip small amounts so that you don't trim away too much hair.

4. Check the hairline over the rest of the head. Continue going over his hair with your finger until it matches. Pay extra attention to the areas behind the ears. Save the front of his head to check last for uneven spots.

5. Trim the entire head of hair if you go too short. If you cut it too much when checking for unevenness, you will have to redo the entire head.
