Side swept bangs are a popular style.
Keeping your bangs long enough to meet your eyebrows allows you to create a simple swept-across style without the help of a professional stylist. With a wide range of hair styling products on the market, you can achieve side-swept bangs no matter your hair type. If you want the look for a special occasion, practice a few times beforehand so that you can be confident you'll get it right.
Instructions
1. Wash your hair and towel dry it until it is damp. Apply a small amount of heat-protecting product throughout your hair to reduce frizziness.
2. Part your hair deep on one side using a wide-toothed comb.
3. Hold the hairbrush under the roots of your bangs. Position your hair dryer above your bangs and turn it on to a medium heat setting. Brush down from the root to the ends of your bangs in a smooth, slightly curling motion, gently pulling your bangs across to one side of your forehead. Follow the movement with the hair dryer. Point your hair dryer downward at all times, smoothing the cuticles down.
4. Heat up your flat iron. Run it down your bangs, curling slightly at the roots. Keep it straight at the ends for a smooth finish.
5. Squirt a pea-sized amount of gel into the palm of your hand and rub it between your hands. Apply it sparingly to the ends of your bangs and at either side of your part to get rid of any frizz.
