Bridal Chignon Hairstyles

A bridal chignon hairstyle is an elegant look for your wedding day.

A bridal chignon hairstyle is an elegant variation of a bun worn for special occasions such as weddings. A chignon is a roll worn at the nape of the neck that is formed by twisting hair and pinning it into place. A chignon hairstyle can be worn sleek or messy depending on your desired look. Chignons are simple enough to do on your own hair, but more detailed chignons may require a hairstylist.

Classic Chignon

The classic chignon is created by gathering hair at the back of the neck, wrapping the length around the hair band and securing the ends with hair pins. You can pull hair straight back, part it in the front or create twists on either side of your head before creating the ponytail. This look can be worn slick or messy. For a slick chignon, straighten hair and apply a mousse to hair before wrapping and pinning. You can also curl the hair before wrapping the chignon to create a softer look. A loose or messy chignon is created by letting some of the ends stray instead of pinning them tightly into the bun. This look will look best with small veils worn near the chignon or by decorating with flowers or hair jewelry.

Braided Chignon

Braided chignons are similar to the classic chignon, but they add an extra dimension of texture to your bridal hairstyle. Gather hair at the back of your neck and secure with a hair band. Braid the loose ponytail, twist and secure around the hair band with hair pins. You can do a sleek braid by using hair gel to keep hair the braid tight. A messy braid will create a softer braided chignon for more relaxed brides. One fun braid variation is to separate the ponytail into two sections and replace the third section with a piece of ribbon the be braided into the hair. A white satin or iridescent ribbon would look lovely with a wedding dress.

Multiple Chignons

You can create a chignon hairstyle that is elegant and unique for your wedding day. After forming the ponytail at the back of your neck, separate the hair into three sections. Wrap and pin each section individually around the base of the ponytail for an interesting alternative to the classic chignon. To further embellish your chignon, try braiding the second section of hair before securing it with hair pins. If all three sections are left unbraided, you should try to maintain consistency in whether the wraps are loose or sleek.

The History Of Maypole Dance

The History of Maypole Dance

The maypole dance comes to us from the Druids of the British Isles, with May Day---May 1---being the second-most-important holiday of their year, because it brought with it the Beltane festival and the observation of pagan fertility rites. May 1 was seen as the beginning of a new year, and fires were lit as part of the celebration.

Pagan

The maypole began as a pagan phallic symbol, and the dance that took place around it during the Beltane festival was part of the celebration of the Horned God, who was a symbol of fertility. In Roman times, it was part of the celebration of Maia, the goddess of May. Similar dances are held in other cultures, with Scandinavia having a maypole-type dance at midsummer.

Cutting

The maypole was cut in old Europe by youth who went into the woods and cut down a tree. They removed branches, leaving only a few at the top. They then wrapped it with violets and returned it to the village at daybreak. They blew horns and beat drums to let the rest of the village know May Day had arrived. The tree used as the maypole was typically anywhere from 12 to 60 feet tall.

Dance

The maypole dance was originally a circle dance and did not involve ribbons. Evolving over time, the dance became more and more complex. The maypole dance is now often done in figures so that dancers weave in and around one another, and their ribbons, which are attached to the top of the pole, form various patterns. By the 1930s, instruction books provided dancers with steps to create specific patterns with their ribbons, and these patterns had such names as "the Single Plait" and "the Spider's Web."

Middle Ages

Nearly every English village had a maypole by the Middle Ages. Adults and children went into the woods with songs and parades to cut the maypole and bring it back to the village. In small villages, the maypole was set up for the day's celebration, and in larger cities, such as London, the maypole remained throughout the year, ready for the next May Day dance.

Puritans

The Puritan Long Parliament stopped the maypole dance in 1666, and nearly 20 years passed---not until the Stuarts returned to power---before the maypole dance and the celebrating of May Day began again. Because of the strong Puritan influence in America, the May Day celebration was never as prominent a holiday in the U.S. as it was in Britain. However, some American children still perform the maypole dance, moving around the pole to weave colorful ribbons. They may also choose May Day queens and hang baskets on doors to carry on the old tradition.

The History Of Italian Charm Bracelets

Italian charm bracelets feature interlocking links instead of the dangling charms used in traditional charm bracelets.

The rich history of charm bracelets dates back to ancient times, when charms were worn to signify status, ward off evil spirits and bring good luck. Today, charm bracelets are worn primarily for fashion. Italian charm bracelets allow fashion lovers to show off their interests through sleek metal links rather than the dangling trinkets associated with traditional charm bracelets.

Precursors

Traditional charm bracelets date back thousands of years, according to Lewis Jewelers. Ancient Egyptians wore charm bracelets and necklaces to symbolize status, believing that the charms would help the gods guide them into the afterlife, where they would maintain their status ranking after they passed on. Charms and charm bracelets gained and lost popularity at different points throughout history. Social climates (for example, Christians using fish charms to signify their faith to other Christians during the Roman empire) and the rise and fall of certain superstitions (such as amulets to ward off bad spirits) influenced their popularity. It wasn’t until the early 20th century that charm bracelets were worn for fashion, thanks to Queen Victoria, who popularized traditional charm bracelets with dangling lockets, beads and trinkets.

Traditional vs. Italian

While traditional charm bracelets range from a simple chain or band with a few beads or dangling gems to full cuffs of lockets, ornaments and gemstones, Italian charm bracelets have a specific, tailored style. Italian charm bracelets feature modular, rectangular charms, according to the Italian Charms website. Italian charms link together to create a bandlike bracelet without the hanging pieces typical of traditional charm bracelets.

What’s in a Name?

Italian charm bracelets get their name from their country of origin. It is believed that Italian artisans were the first to create this style of charm bracelet by soldering symbolic metal images, words or gemstones into flat metal links, according to JJ Italian Charm Bracelets. The charms can be linked and unlinked to create different patterns and add to or subtract from a bracelet. Although many fine quality Italian charms are in fact made in Italy, "Italian charm" refers to the style. Today, charms are manufactured in other countries, such as China, as well.

Popularity

Italian charm bracelets were invented in the 1980s and gained popularity in Europe when soccer players and fans started wearing them, according to Doggone Charming. The trend then caught on in America and other parts of the world and has grown in popularity. Today many Italian charm fans actually wear multiple bracelets at once to include a wider variety of charms, since the number of charms on one bracelet is limited by wrist size, according to Jewelry Mall. Multiple bands can also be linked together with megalinks, oversized links capable of holding two or more rows of smaller links.

Changing Trends

Although Italian charm bracelets are still popular, another charm bracelet trend has emerged. Pandora bracelets, which are often compared to Italian charm bracelets, feature interchangeable beads, according to Lewis Jewelers. Pandora-style bracelets were invented in Scandinavia in 2002 and rival Italian charm bracelets in style and practicality. However, some Pandora charms do hang from the bracelet, while Italian charms are always neat and symmetrical.

Pin Up A Half Hairdo

Pinning up a half hairdo is an option for those that wear their hair in a bob or for people who want to keep long hair away from the faces without putting all of the hair up in a ponytail or bun. When pinning up a half hairdo, one must be sure to secure half of the hair in the back of the head while still keeping the entire hairstyle clean looking and polished.

Instructions

1. Blow dry hair completely.

2. Mist a light hold hair spray throughout the hair. This will help keep half hairdo in place for a long period of time.

3. Brush the hair from root to tip to smooth the hair spray through the hair and to release any knots or tangles.

4. Use one hand to begin brushing the hair from the front to the back. At this time, you should decide if you would like the hair to be parted or brushed straight back from the hairline.

5. Use your other hand to hold the hair from half of the head that will be pinned up.

6. Continue to brush all of the hair to the hand that is holding the half hairdo until you have smoothed it all into one place.

7. Use both of your hands to begin to twist the half hairdo section toward your head. This will help to secure the hairstyle into place.

8. Hold the hair down with one hand and use your opposite hand to open a bobby pin and press it through the section.

9. Add several bobby pins around the twisted section until you are sure that it is secure and you can release your hand from the section. You should add enough bobby pins so that the section does not move but the pins should not be visibly sticking out of the section of hair.

10. Mist the light hold hairspray around the hairstyle to add additional hold.

Pin Curl Hair

Pin curls can create a simple and long-lasting hairstyle.

Pin curls formed the basis of a variety of women's hairstyles between the 1940s and the 1960s, providing attractive spiral curls that women manipulated into many different looks. As often happens, fashion trends come back around, and pin curls have again resurfaced as a means of creating a head full of curls that will last all day. As long as your hair is long enough to wind around at least two or three times, you can make pin curls to create a variety of hairstyles.

Instructions

1. Distribute a generous amount of hair gel through your hair to moisten it slightly. You should begin this process the night before, or several hours before, you want to create the finished hairstyle.

2. Separate off a small section of hair with the rattail comb to create a pin curl. Create small pin curls with a 1-inch square section of hair. Create medium pin curls with 2-inch square sections of hair.

3. Comb the section of hair smooth and begin coiling the section of hair around in a circle on your scalp. Continue coiling the section until you reach the ends of the hair. Tuck the ends in beneath the coiled hair.

4. Place one or two flat hair clips over the coiled pin curl to secure it tightly on your scalp.

5. Make additional pin curls using hair sections of the same size, forming them with the same technique. To add variety, change the direction of the curls.

6. Spray the finished pin curls with hair spray and then place a scarf or a bandana over your hair to protect them. Sleep on the pin curls, or leave them covered for several hours.

7. Carefully remove the clips from each pin curl. Finger-style your hair carefully after you remove the hair clips, and spray it lightly with hair spray to set the curls.

Do Finger Twists

Finger twists can be done on nearly every hair length and texture.

Finger twists are one of the most popular and easy-to-achieve natural hairstyles. Versatile and addictive (because you won't be able to keep your hands out of your hair afterward), finger twists can be done on nearly every hair texture and length. The greatest virtue of finger twists is that their formation doesn't have to be precise -- you just twist and go!

Instructions

1. Decide what width you would like your finger twists. Fine hair will require more hair within each twist; thicker hair will require less.

2. Comb your hair with the wide-toothed comb to remove tangles and shed hair. Lightly mist your hair with water, but do not over saturate.

3. Separate a 1/2-inch section of hair on the right side of your hair with the end of a rat-tail comb. Gently comb the section to remove any leftover tangles or shed hair.

4. Dab a small amount of gel on the hair section to be finger twisted. Apply it from root to tip.

5. Twist, or roll the gelled section between your thumb, index and middle finger in a clockwise direction until a roll appears. Roll to the ends to secure the hold.

6. Repeat sectioning, fine-tooth combing, and rolling until your style is complete. Allow to dry. Apply some light oil sparingly for sheen.

The Best Ways To Wear Your Hair Up

A ponytail is a great way to wear your hair up.

Long hair is fun and versatile. One option for styling the hair is putting the hair up. This works well for either curly or straight hair. There are styles to wear your hair up that are casual and dressy, fun or structured. To add drama and sparkle to the styles, use hair accessories.

Chignon

One of the best ways to wear hair up is in a sassy chignon. This style tends to be structured but you can make it playful as well. To create the style, create a ponytail at the crown of the head. Use a crimping iron to crimp the hair that hangs from the ponytail. Pull the hair halfway through the rubber band. The ends of the hair should hang loose. If there are bangs, style them to the side and mist with hairspray.

French Twist

In order to style an edgy French twist, you must have long hair, at least shoulder-length. The modern version of the French twist involves teasing the crown with a rat-tail comb to create volume in the hair. Create two French twists that meet in the middle at the back of your head. Pin the hair into place using decorative clips.

Braid

Put your hair up in a thick, single braid. In order to create this style, the hair should be at least 4 or 5 inches past the shoulder. Use pomade in the hair to create texture before braiding it. Braid the hair in a standard braid, not a French braid. Secure the bottom of the braid with a rubber band. Decorative clips or headbands are fun accessories to add.

Ponytail

Ponytails are versatile and easy to wear. Rather than a casual ponytail, dress it up a bit. Tease the hair at the crown in small sections. Spray some hairspray on to hold it. Smooth hair over the teased sections. Sweep the hair back and secure into a low ponytail. Use a straightener or curling iron to style the ponytail.

Traditional Indian Bridal Jewelry

An Indian wedding is not complete without bridal jewelry.

A wedding is a milestone in a woman's life. This is also true in Indian culture, where adorning the bride in jewelry is an integral part of the wedding day. Traditional Indian bridal jewelry consists of a complete set of jewelry to beautify each part of the bride’s body.

Only Gold

Fake or imitation jewelry may suffice for other occasions, but when it comes to weddings and jewelry for the Indian bride, only gold jewelry will do. Almost every middle- and high-class Indian family spends a considerable amount of money on bridal jewelry. Those who cannot afford expensive jewelry make do with a few basic pieces for the bride--a gold ring, necklace and bracelets. Different stones like diamond, pearl, jade, amethyst, emerald and the like may embellish intricately designed gold jewelry for brides from wealthier families.

Head to Toe

It is common for Indian brides to be covered in jewelry from head to toe. Brides from rich families may wear a tiara made of gold. However, the most popular piece of jewelry that adorns the head of an Indian bride is a golden pendant hanging from a golden string. The string is placed on the part of the hair of the bride. Some brides also adorn their back of their hair with golden clips.

Face and Neck

A golden nose stud is a must-have for Indian brides. A golden string may attach the nose stud to the back of the ears. Gold earrings also are chosen for the bride. The bride and her family members often spend hours selecting the right gold necklace and earrings, and jewelers get ready for the wedding season with a mind-boggling array of earrings and necklaces.

Arms

Armlets, bracelets and finger rings beautify the arms and hands of an Indian bride. Armlets may be worn on one or both arms, but gold bracelets have to be worn on both hands along with bangles. A bride may wear one or 10 finger rings, depending on her financial status. Gold strings may connect the bracelets and the finger rings.

Waist and Legs

A waist band is an ornament worn by brides belonging to rich families. The weight of a waist band may vary from a few grams to more than 2 pounds. Toe rings and anklets complete the traditional Indian bridal jewelry set. The anklets make a soft jingling noise when the bride walks.

The All-Important Necklace

The most important piece of bridal jewelry is the necklace that the bridegroom ties around the bride’s neck during the marriage ritual. This is known as the mangalsutra; it is made of gold and contains black beads to ward off evil eye. A wedding is assumed to be solemnized when the groom ties the necklace around the neck of the bride.

Simple Hairstyles For Curly Hair

Curly hair can be beautiful and fun to wear when you understand work with your hair type. Learning which cuts to get and style your hair will help to ensure that your curly locks are the envy of your friends and family members. A little planning can help you to say goodbye to bad hair days and usher in a new era of curly hair glamor.

Curly Hair Health

The best haircut in the world will do nothing for your curly hair if you don't keep it healthy. Curly hair usually needs a lot of moisture. Be sure to wash your hair only when you really need to in order to avoid drying out your locks. Use moisturizing shampoos, and don't forget to use conditioner after each shampoo. You should also use leave-in conditioners that help to define your curls and minimize frizz.

The Right Cut

Curly hair tends to get bushy when it is cut without layers. Blunt cuts will cause your days to be filled with trying to figure out tame your hair. Instead of blunt cuts, ask your stylist to use layers and a razor to help thin your hair a bit so it frames your face nicely. Curly hair does well with cuts of all lengths, as long as the bulk of the hair is thinned around the face so it does not detract from your facial features. Find a stylist who specializes in curly hair, and be sure to let her know that you intend on wearing your hair curly and not straightening it, as this will affect the cut she gives you.

Styling With a Dryer

If you use a hairdryer to style your hair each day, be sure to invest in a one that comes with a diffuser. Drying your hair without the diffuser is a recipe for frizzy, dry hair instead of beautifully defined curly hair. Apply leave-in conditioner to your hair and use the diffuser while lightly scrunching damp hair until it is dry. Finish by spritzing with alcohol-free hairspray.

Air Drying

Air drying curly hair is generally easy to do. If you are in a hurry in the morning, simply comb some styling product through wet hair and position your curls how you want them. Go about your day as normal and bring a hair pick with you. When your hair is dry, use the pick to loosely comb through your curly hair. Using a brush will give you frizzy hair, so don't do that. Finish by applying a bit of finishing oil for shine and frizz control.

On Bad Hair Days

If you find yourself having a bad hair day, find ways to put your hair up. If you have long, curly hair, simply pulling your curly locks into a loose ponytail or bun can help to give you a sultry romantic look. If your hair is shorter, apply some water and styling product to your hair and secure with pretty hair clips to pull it off of your face. Braids and cornrows may also be an option for difficult hair days. As an added benefit, when you take your hair out of the braids, your curls will be extra shiny and defined.

What Are Spankies

Spankies lurk beneath the short skirts of cheerleaders.

As cheerleading evolved into the sport that it is today, uniforms also changed with the times. Women entered the formerly male-dominated activity, and cheerleading grew to include dance, jumps and flips instead of chiefly vocal encouragement for the team. As these changes occurred, hemlines rose, and this led to the wearing of spankies, or the short shorts worn underneath skirts.

Purpose

When cheerleaders flip, do cartwheels or stand high in a pyramid, cheerleading skirts do little to hide what lies beneath. For this reason, spankies are necessary to cover body parts that, if revealed, could lead to arrest or, at the very least, severe embarrassment. Although spankies are little more than underwear, they are thicker and opaque, so the coverage is superior if examined up close. They are also more aesthetically pleasing since they match the rest of the cheerleading uniform.

Types of Spankies

Although all spankies are tight shorts by definition, they are available in a a wide range of colors and in different degrees of coverage. The type of spankie used depends of the type of cheerleading skirt. For short skirts that cover the midriff, spankies that come to the waist are ideal. If the skirt does not fully cover the waist, there are spankies with a lower rise. There are also spankies that resemble biking shorts for use with longer skirts.

With or Without Underwear?

One of the greatest cheerleading debates is whether to wear underwear underneath the spankies. Ultimately, this is a decision each cheerleader must make for herself. Although underwear are not necessary since spankies provide coverage, some cheerleaders feel that wearing underwear beneath them is more hygenic or modest. The problem with this, however, is that underwear may peek out from underneath spankies or create panty lines and mar the appearance of the uniform.

Problems

Some of the same problems that come with underwear exist for spankies. The chief difference is that spankies are publicly viewed attire. So, when spankies ride up wedgie-style, rip or get stained, the clothing malfunction opens the cheerleader up to public ridicule. The best way to prevent these malfunctions is to replace worn spankies as they wear out so the fabric maintains good elasticity to help keep them in the proper place.

Diy Permanent Curl

Permanently curl your hair.

Curly hair means rarely having a bad hair day. Messy or neat curls always look stylish. 5. Use your hands to mix the curl perm throughout your hair. Keep perm in according to the recommended time on instruction manual.

6. Wash your hair with shampoo and apply hair conditioner. Towel dry your hair.

7. Take your comb and section your hair into square sections, take your hair rollers and roll your hair in each section.

Do Good Hairstyles For Short Hair

Short hair can be flirty, and the maintenence is easy.

Short hair can be hard to style and difficult to pull off, but with the right haircut, there are lots of styles you can create with your cropped hairdo. Bobby pins and hair spray are always good tools to have around.

Instructions

1. Side-swept sleek hair can be chic for a party or event.

Work a dime-size amount of anti-frizz or smoothing cream through your damp hair. Blow-dry your hair, brushing it straight and if you have wavy or curly hair, use a straightening iron. Sweep your bangs to one side and apply hair spray. If you have a pixie cut, a straight, sleek style can be great for a night out with a pair of cool earrings.

2. Waves can add volume and texture to short, straight hair.

Comb texturing mousse through your wet hair with your fingers. Blow-dry hair and then use a curling iron to spiral curl the ends of your hair. Hair spray and separate the curls to make them look loose. If your hair is cut in a longer bob, subtle waves are a great way to add texture and volume to hair.

3. Curls can be dramatic and old-fashioned with short hair.

Use mousse or volumizing spray while your hair is damp. Curl hair in sections with a curling iron then pin up with bobby pins. Wait about 15 minutes then spray with hair spray or spray gel. If you want more dramatic curls for your bob, go for it, but keep the curls large and voluminous.

4. And up-do is a great way to get rid of a bad hair day.

Use styling gel on damp hair. If you want, you can skip a blow-dry and put your hair up while it's still damp. Gather your bangs and pin them back to one side using bobby pins. Brush the rest of your hair back and use bobby pins to pin it up in sections to create volume. Since short hair tends to fall in your face, an updo is a great choice for a formal event or a day out on the town.

5. Straight bangs are a great way to give an outfit a bold, funky feel.

Blow-dry your hair straight then use a straightener on all your hair except your bangs if you want rocker-like, straight across bangs. Use a round brush to curl the bangs under with the blow-dryer. Finish with hair spray.

Create Women'S Shag Hairstyles

Create Women's Shag Hairstyles

A shag is a great hair style for many women because it can be worn in different ways. While it works best with short and medium length hair, a shag cut can even be worn with long hair. Use these steps to create the best shag cut and style for you.

Instructions

1. Get a shag haircut at your local salon. Know what you want ahead of time in terms of length and bring along pictures for ideas. Add bangs to soften an angular face and choose longer hair if your face is round.

2. Have the stylist cut in many layers in the front and top of your head with a few less in the remainder of your hair if you are going for a short cut. Choose a medium cut with many layers if you want a lot of volume and lift or fewer layers for a more sleek appearance with the focus still around your face.

3. Apply a styling mousse to clean wet hair once it's cut into a shag style. Add a volumizer if you want lift and dry with a hair dryer using your fingers to lift and separate the pieces.

4. Flip the ends of your hair out slightly throughout. Use a styling gel or pomade to mold your hair into a purposely messy look and experiment with different styles. A shag cut can be pulled away from your face or towards it, and the layers can be placed in many different positions.

5. Spray your hair lightly with hair spray once everything is in place. Spray just enough to hold the pieces while still allowing free movement of your hair.

The Best Haircuts For Round Wide Faces

Haircuts that slenderize the face flatter people with round faces.

The haircut that will flatter you the most depends on the shape of your face. To determine this, you should measure four different distances across your face: between your cheekbones, between the widest points of your jaw line, between the widest points of your forehead and between the tip of your hairline and the tip of your chin. If your face is as long as it is wide, then you have a round face. This means you should choose a haircut that will help the shape of your face appear longer and narrower.

Bangs

If you want to add length to your round face, you can opt to get bangs the next time you're at the hair salon. However, not all bangs are created equal. Heavy or straight bangs will shorten your face instead of lengthening it. Layered bangs, on the other hand, make your face look longer and thinner. You can also sweep your bangs to one side. This will draw attention to your eyes and not to the roundness of your face.

Long Hair

When you have a round face and long hair and want to slenderize your face's shape, add layers or have your mane cut into a shag. With layered hair, you not only thin your face but also add versatility to your style. You can wear your hair down as well as up. Styling your hair in a pile on top of your head creates height, which helps to narrow your face. You can also add highlights around your face for a flattering look. If you have long, curly hair or like to curl your hair, dangling ringlets suit a round face too, as long as you keep the falling tendrils away from your cheeks. If the curls hit your cheek line, they will call attention to the roundness of your face.

Short Hair

Just because you have a round face doesn't mean that you can't pull off a short haircut. To add more dimensions to your face, get a choppy, layered cut. For a short haircut that lengthens your face and makes your neck appear longer, have it cropped close to your head on both sides. You can also add height to a short haircut to lengthen your face. If you have a double chin, a bob that falls just above the chin will suit your round face beautifully.

Wash A Dog In Tomato Juice

Dog owners try to use tomato juice to remove skunk smell.

Washing a dog in tomato juice may be necessary if you find your dog has come into contact with a skunk. Skunk spray is actually an oil secreted by the skunk in self-defense, so it's necessary for you take some precautions prior to attempting to bathe your dog with tomato juice. Keep the dog outside or at least away from all furniture to prevent the oil and smell from spreading.

Instructions

1. Gather bottles or cans of tomato juice, and place them in the area where you will bathe the dog. Change into old clothes and gather old towels to dry the dog with. Place the dog shampoo within easy reach. Open the cans or bottles of tomato juice, and set them aside.

2. Wet down the dog fully, keeping the water out of the dog's ears. Apply shampoo liberally, and scrub thoroughly. Rinse the dog completely.

3. Pour the tomato juice over the entirety of the dog, keeping it out of the dog's eyes and ears. Rub it well into the fur, especially if you have a dog with a thick undercoat. Leave the tomato juice on for approximately 15 minutes.

4. Rinse the dog thoroughly, and repeat the tomato juice procedure two to three more times to fully remove the skunk smell. Remove your old clothes and towels. Wash them separately from other items in your washing machine, or throw them away.

Texturizing Hair Products

Give your hairstyle some texture with the hair product that is right for you.

Whether you have naturally wavy, curly or straight hair, adding more texture will give your hair a different style. Using a texturizing product will give you the "stylishly messy" or "piecey" look, without the need for a perm or even a new haircut. Choosing the right texturizing hair product is important for the particular style you are going for and your hair type.

TIGI Catwalk Curls Rock Amplifier

If you have curls that become frizzy and fluffy, you can define the individual curls by using a product made especially for curly hair. The "Bed Head" brand that created the "TIGI Catwalk Curls Rock Amplifier" is known for making products that add texture and dimension to hair styles. You can buy this texturizing product in a salon where you can get the recommendation and hair styling advice from a professional. Work this into damp hair with your fingers.

If you like the texture that you hair gets after spending a day at the beach, with each lock defined with plenty of texture, "Garnier Fructis Style Surf Hair Texture Paste" might be for you. You can use this product with any hair type or length to get the piecey, chucky, voluminous look. ENJOY Creamy Pomade

If you are looking for a product that will give your hair the hold and texture you want with being too greasy, stiff or drying, you should try a "pomade" like the one from "ENJOY". You only need a little bit at a time to add texture and shine to your waves or curls. You can also use this if your hair is short and you want to give it some shape. Dip your fingertips in the product and scrunch it through your hair while it is wet or dry.
