Keep Your Wig From Sliding On Your Hair

Bobby pins will secure the wig to the hairnet underneath.

Although many people wear wigs over their normal hair, some people wear them because they do not have any hair of their own. If you are wearing a wig for fashion reasons and are using it to cover your own hair, the hair underneath provides a sleek surface that makes it easier for the wig to slide around. Keep your wig in place using the wig's elastic band and a few extra pins for security.

Instructions

1. Braid your hair in two braids and wrap them around your head. Secure them with bobby pins so they don't slip down. If you hair is relatively short you don't need to put your hair up.

2. Place a hairnet over your hair to make the surface of the hair less sleek and to prevent any stray pieces from sticking out of the wig.

3. Put the wig on and pull the wig's elastic band so it sits firmly around your head. If you have a well-made wig, this will be sufficient to keep the wig in place.

4. Use bobby pins to clip the wig to the inside mesh of the hairnet. Attach several pins around all sides of the wig to keep it from sliding. Move the hair on the wig to conceal the pins.
