Use clippers to achieve a precision cut on a black man's hair.
Most black men's hair is coarse and requires a special technique while cutting. There are a variety of available styling options, but the most common is the fade. Electrical clippers are used to execute this haircut. The fade haircut is slightly longer at the crown of the head and then gradually fades down the nape of the neck. Cutting With Clippers
1. Set the guards to adjust the clippers to cut the desired length of hair.
2. Cut in an upward motion toward the crown. Move the clippers up the sides and to the back of the head to create an even appearance.
3. Blend in the crown of the head with the sides and back to create a faded look.
4. Place the clippers in the middle of the head. Move the clippers forward toward the forehead to cut in the direction of the hair grain for a longer cut. Cut against the grain for a shorter style.
5. Trim around the forehead with clippers to cut any stray hair. Even up the cut with clipping shears.
6. Rub alcohol around the edges of the head to avoid irritation. Dust cornstarch powder around the cut sections to prevent the scalp from itching.
