Girls young and old dream of being a princess for Halloween, and one of the most popular princesses to go as is Cinderella. In addition to the perfect gown, a hairstyle fit for a princess is on the shortlist of costume essentials. Cinderella's trademark updo may seem like an intimidating hairstyle to execute, but with the right tools you can have a Cinderella hairstyle befitting of one of the most famous fairy tale princesses.
Instructions
1. Brush the hair thoroughly and pull it into a tight ponytail that sits high on the back of the head. If the hair is short in places, use bobby pins to affix flyaway hair to the side of the head.
2. Wrap the hair into a roll-up bun by placing a ribbon at the bottom of a ponytail and rolling it upwards into the hair. Once the rolled bun reaches the top of the scalp, use a hair tie to secure it. Then tie the ends of the ribbon loosely at the bottom of the hair, making sure not to tangle any hairs in the ribbon.
3. Use hairspray to "set" the style. For a crisp look (like the kind portrayed in the Disney movie) you will want to use a liberal amount. Although hair gel can be substituted, hairspray will provide the strongest hold.
4. Wrap a long ribbon around the crown of the head and tie it at the top of the neck. This will complete the Cinderella look.
