Trim Dry Ends Of Long Hair

Trim Dry Ends of Long Hair

It is a fact that long hair needs proper maintenance in order to stay healthy and beautiful. One key element in caring for long hair is eradicating dry, split ends around every six weeks or so. Keeping the ends well-groomed is a fairly easy process.

Instructions

1. Examine your hair closely to determine how much needs to be removed from the ends. In most cases, this should be no more than half an inch.

2. Wash the hair or wet it down using a spray bottle. This will keep the hair together, making it easier to cut.

3. Grasp a small section of hair between the middle and index fingers, bringing the fingers down to the bottom. Allow only the section designated for cutting to remain below the fingers.

4. Snip off the ends of the hair using the salon scissors. Be sure to snip off small pieces at a time. The bigger the piece, the greater the chance that the hair will be uneven when it's all over with.

5. Repeat this process until all of the ends are trimmed. Be sure to keep the hair wet throughout the process to keep the job even and uniform. Use a double-sided mirror to check on the progress in the back.

6. Keep the hair well-combed and free of tangles throughout the process as well.
