Loosen Curls In Wavy Hair

Loosen Curls in Wavy Hair

Although there are a lot of styling products that will reduce the curl in wavy hair, many of them can damage the hair (for example, hair relaxers can damage the hair shafts, hair follicles and even the scalp). Instead of using harsh styling products to get loose waves rather than curls, try blowing out your hair. With a hair dryer, a brush and a few products, you can have the large waves you've been wanting.

Instructions

1. Wash your hair as normal. Spray a detangling spray into your hair right when you get out of the shower.

2. Towel dry your hair until it is slightly damp. Spray your hair with a heat-resistant hair spray. This will help protect your hair from the heat of the hair dryer.

3. Begin drying your hair. Start by applying the heat to your roots to help smooth down any fly-aways.

4. Divide your hair in half, pulling the top section of your hair on top of your head. Use a hair clip to secure the hair.

5. Take a small section of hair from the bottom portion. Place the large brush underneath the section. Roll the hair completely through the brush. Gently, pull the brush downward while applying the heat from the dryer to the hair. Once the brush reaches the ends of the first little section, roll the brush back up through the hair. Do this until that one section is dried.

6. Repeat Step 5 for the rest of the bottom section of hair. When finished, unclip the top section of hair and repeat Step 5 again.

7. Apply some hairspray to your dried hair to keep it wavy.
